Mark your calendars, Amazon Prime Day is on the way! Prime Day sales will include back-to-school items, technology, and non-tech items that will be on sale July 15th and 16th. For students, you will be able to expect some crazy good decor and tech deals you’ll need before heading to college.
As of now, it isn’t clear what exactly what will be launched, but we have a pretty good idea. Read on to find out the need to know information about Prime Day.
What is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day is a two-day shopping event offering over a million global member-only deals for items like laptops, tablets, Chromebooks, and iPads. For Prime Day 2019, for the first time in history, Prime Day will be 48-hours instead of the typical 1-day.
If the idea of millions of deals sounds overwhelming, don’t worry. We will be updating you throughout the Prime Day process with rumors and product announcements as they apply to you. Whether you are a back-to-school student or parent looking for the perfect gift, you’ll find what you want.

Tips and Tricks for Amazon Prime Day
STUDENTS! Listen up.
As a College student, you are eligible to sign up for a Prime Student membership and shop Prime Day deals at a deep discount. How deep? How about $59/year instead of $100? This is a 50% off deal you will want to take advantage of now before you start (or finish) shopping for your dorm decor.
Even better, as a student, you get to enjoy a free 90-day trial instead of the 30-day offered to first time Amazon Prime users. This means you can cancel your membership after shopping if you don’t think you will use it more than once. But let’s be real, you will.
